Privacy policy
LotUpside collects what you give us: your name, your contact details (email or phone), your property address if you share it, and any message you write, plus the site usage data described below. We use public property records to estimate lot and building sizes for addresses you submit.
We use this information for one purpose: to respond to you about your property and the possibility of building an ADU on it. We do not sell your information, share it with third parties for marketing, or add you to mailing lists.
Form submissions are delivered to us privately and stored securely. If you want your information deleted, email hello@lotupside.com and we will remove it.
To run a property check we send the address you enter (never your name or contact details) to the services that hold the data: the U.S. Census geocoder, Google (geocoding and imagery), county, state and federal map services, and a listing-data provider for property photos. They receive it only to answer that lookup.
We keep each report so its private link keeps working, and we count when a report page is viewed so we know it reached you. Report pages are private links, excluded from search engines.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and learn which pages and steps people use, such as starting a check or opening checkout. It sets first-party cookies, and Google receives your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you visit. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and we never send Google Analytics the address you check, your name or your email. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com with a content blocker. Private report links are masked before they reach Google Analytics. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal information.
Payments are processed by Stripe on its own secure page; we never see your card details. We keep a record of each purchase and the email Stripe gives us, for receipts and support.
