About the Spanish 2BR ADU

How it's designed

A Spanish detached backyard ADU, 800 sq ft inside, wide and shallow in shape: 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, an open layout with a full kitchen, a laundry room and 9 ft ceilings.

Outside: a gable roof in clay tile, stucco siding in warm white with natural wood trim, standard windows in bronze frames, a french doors entry and a small covered porch.

Inside: standard finishes in a classic style, tile floors, two-tone cabinets, white quartz counters and a walk-in shower. Heating and cooling by a ductless mini-split.

Pictured with dusk light, mediterranean landscaping, front view and minimal styling, staged as an in-law suite. The setting is styling only, not part of the design or the estimate.

Want to build it?

We'll match you with a licensed designer and builder in your area and coordinate the project. Free consult, no obligation.

Licensed partner designers and builders do the design and construction, and the builder holds the construction contract. Partners are signed in some areas so far; elsewhere we'll tell you plainly what we can do.

Pictures and the 3D are conceptual. A licensed designer turns a design idea into real drawings, and the city or county approves them. More ADU design ideas
